Privacy policy
This policy explains what information TellerScore collects when you use this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Effective and last updated
Summary
- You can use the site without creating an account or telling us who you are.
- We collect standard server logs, and — where enabled — audience measurement and advertising cookies from third parties.
- We do not sell your name or email address. Third-party advertising cookies may count as "selling" or "sharing" under some state laws; you can opt out at Your privacy choices, and we honor Global Privacy Control automatically.
Information we collect
- Server logs. Like most websites, our servers and hosting providers record technical information about requests: IP address, browser type, pages requested, referring page and time. We use logs to operate, secure and debug the site.
- Analytics. When enabled, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are used. It sets cookies and collects device and usage information. We configure it to limit data collection where available.
- Advertising. When enabled, ads are served by Google AdSense or, in the future, other advertising partners. These companies may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads and measure them, and depending on your choices, to personalize ads based on your activity across sites.
- Alert sign-ups. If you sign up for email alerts, we store your email address and the institutions or topics you chose, and use them only to send those alerts. Every alert includes a way to unsubscribe.
- Contact form messages. If you contact us, we keep your message, the page address you provide and, if you give it, your email address, so we can respond and fix problems.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, and we do not ask for account numbers or financial details. Please do not include them in messages.
How we use information
We use information to run and secure the site, understand how it is used, show advertising that funds it, send alerts you asked for, answer messages, and comply with law. We do not use your information to make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.
Your choices and Global Privacy Control
- Opt out of selling or sharing: use Your privacy choices. This disables our analytics and limits advertising cookies in that browser.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC): if your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid opt-out request for that browser, automatically.
- Cookies: you can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Google's ad settings let you control personalized ads from Google.
State privacy rights (including California)
Depending on where you live, laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), and comprehensive privacy laws in a growing number of other states, may give you rights to:
- know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, and access a copy;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- delete personal information we hold about you, subject to exceptions;
- opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information and of targeted advertising;
- not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
Categories of personal information we may collect are identifiers (such as IP address, cookie IDs and, if you provide it, email address) and internet activity (pages viewed, interactions). Sources are you, your browser, and our analytics and advertising providers. We disclose information to service providers (hosting, email delivery, analytics) and, where advertising cookies are enabled, to advertising partners. To make a request, please use our contact form. We may need to verify your request; you may use an authorized agent where the law allows. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision.
Children
This site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 for the purposes of selling or sharing). If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Retention and security
We keep server logs for a limited period needed for security and operations, contact messages for as long as needed to handle them and keep a record of corrections, and alert sign-ups until you unsubscribe. Analytics and advertising providers retain data under their own policies. We use reasonable safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes and contact
We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date above. Questions: please use our contact form.
